Doris Agyei , the woman allegedly kidnapped by armed robbers from her home in Abuakwa, has been released by police in the Ashanti Region.
"Police have successfully rescued the female victim who was abducted by armed robbers," the service said on Facebook on Wednesday (17 August 2022). "The victim is being transported for medical evaluation and psychosocial care."
"We are still on the hunt for the robbers, and we will undoubtedly catch them," it added.
The suspects allegedly fled with the victim while also escaping with other valuables during the alleged robbery attack.
"The victims reported hearing an unusual noise at their house's main gate around 01:15 a.m. They came out to see what was going on.
